The soundtrack is available separately, with additional savings through a game-and-soundtrack bundle.
Freshly Baked Games puts the adventure at 40+ hours for the vast majority of players. Exploration drives much of that length: hidden equipment, branching paths, and routes that become accessible through traversal upgrades give you reasons to revisit familiar ground.

Is There a Free Demo?
Yes, a free Steam demo lets you explore the opening area and learn the combat rhythm before buying. It introduces the island’s ruins, early weapons, replenishing throwing daggers, and a boss encounter.

Allow around an hour for the opening slice, with extra time if you investigate side paths and secrets. The demo rewards close inspection: useful equipment can sit away from the obvious route, and overlooking the Dagger Belt makes ranged enemies harder to handle.
Try these mechanics before deciding whether the full adventure suits you:
- Let the Power Meter refill between swings. Attacking repeatedly with an empty meter deals very little damage.
- Hold the primary attack button to charge a stronger strike. You can begin charging while the meter recovers.
- Find and equip the Dagger Belt. Its throwing daggers replenish over time, giving you a reusable answer to elevated enemies.
- Save manually at Crystal Monuments. Saving preserves progress; resting restores health and respawns enemies.
These systems establish the pace early. Careful movement, attack timing, and looking closely at the environment matter throughout the adventure.
What Kind of Game Is It?
Queen's Domain is a first-person retro-fantasy action RPG with strong King's Field influences. You play a prince searching for his missing father on the Isle of Neasied, where ruined structures, underground passages, and dangerous wildlife fill the landscape.

Combat Built Around Timing
Melee damage depends on your Power Meter, charged attacks, and weapon choice. Slash, Pierce, and Impact damage interact with enemy weaknesses and resistances, while weapon-specific secondary attacks give individual weapons distinct uses.
You can equip three melee weapons and switch between them. Weapons improve through use, while character levels increase your base capabilities. Certain foods also provide permanent stat increases, making exploration valuable beyond finding another weapon.
The full game includes 50+ melee weapons, 20+ types of secondary throwing weapons, and over 100 enemies, mini bosses, and bosses.
Exploration That Changes With Your Sword
The Holy Sword Endu doubles as a traversal tool. Its Wind Dash carries you across gaps, and additional Wind Gems increase your available dash charges.
That changes how you read the island. A broken bridge or distant ledge can become a route once your traversal options expand.
There is no map, so navigation depends on the compass, landmarks, and recognizing connections between areas. Note blocked paths and unreachable platforms as you explore; return when you have more Wind Dash charges.
PC Requirements and Steam Deck Support
You need a 64-bit processor and operating system, Windows 10, and DirectX 11. Storage requirements are 1500 MB for both hardware tiers.

Queen's Domain has Steam Deck Verified status and full controller support. Steam Deck performance can fluctuate beyond the opening area, including frame drops and stuttering.
The graphics options include adjustments for the retro presentation, including dithering and resolution effects. Use those options to change the image’s appearance to your preference.
What the 1.01.01 Patch Fixes
The October 31 version 1.01.01 update addresses several launch issues affecting progression, combat equipment, and item collection:
- A soft lock in the Pit of Despair.
- Freezing when weapons evolve.
- The Executioner door getting stuck.
- A freeze involving Mimics.
- Missing water return pits around Neasied.
- Star Lizard loot bags becoming suspended in midair.
Install version 1.01.01 before continuing through these areas or evolving weapons. Keep saving at Crystal Monuments after major discoveries and objectives: the game uses manual saves, and dying sends you back to your most recent save.
